Matt Talbot was a man who was freed from an addiction to alcohol through prayer. The Matt Talbot Prayer Society prays daily and specifically for those enrolled to be freed from addictions including alcohol, drugs, pornography, gambling, eating and smoking through Matt Talbots intercession. Mass is celebrated on the first Monday of each month for those enrolled.
Mass is celebrated on the first Monday of every month at 7:30pm and offered for those struggling with addiction, their families and all those affected by addiction. In this Mass was ask for the intercession of Venerable Matt Talbot and the names of those enrolled in the Matt Talbot Prayer Society are placed on the altar. This Mass currently takes place in St Eugene's Cathedral, Derry and Ennis Cathedral, Co Clare and we hope to have the Mass in every Cathedral in Ireland in the future. Matt Talbot Freedom From Addiction Mass is also celebrated in St Patricks Cathedral, Armagh and Our Lady of Lourdes, Sean mc Dermott Street Dublin where Matt Talbots Body lays (...both Masses take place at 7:30pm also on the first Monday of each month).
